- Color: Grey / White
HOW TO APPLY:
Substrate: The surface that will be covered with ceramic or vitrified tiles must be sturdy, tight, and stiff, and it must be free of dirt, oil, grease, curing compounds, form release agents, loose or chipped plaster or paint, and it must not have any other contaminants. It is important for the economy that the surfaces be level and true within: Walls – 3mm in 2.5m Floors – 1.5mm in 1.0m
Surface Preparation:
- If a plaster or leveling mortar bed is going to be used for the installation of the tile, we need to wait at least seven days before applying the tile adhesive in order to give it enough time to cure properly and develop the necessary strength.
- The substrate must be clean and free of any contaminants, such as dirt, muck, debris, oil, grease, curing applicants, loose or cracked plaster, and so on.
- Before applying the thinset glue, the wall must first be well soaked in water. In general, it ought to have a dampness that is around average.
- It is important to remove any dust or coating that may be on the reverse of the tile.
Mixing & Proportion:
- The components need to be thoroughly combined, either by hand or, if an electric drill mixer is available, at a low speed (less than 300 revolutions per minute). The 600x600 powder should be added to a clean container after drinkable clean water has been poured in, and mixing should continue until the mixture turns creamy.
- Warning: It is important to avoid overmixing the ingredients. Before using the mixture, let it rest for five to ten minutes and then mix it again. Prepare only the amount of glue that is necessary to meet your immediate needs.
- For 1 Bag of 600x600, approximately 5-6 litres. of water should be used. Adjust the quantity of liquid to obtain proper consistency.
Suitable Substrates :
- Concrete
- Cement Mortar Beds
- Existing tiling on floor & wall Ceramic Tiles and Stones (best results when Mixed with Platinum Water Seal Multipurpose Polymer)
- Concrete Masonry
- Cement Plaster
- Brick Masonry
- Cement Terrazzo
Installation:
- Before applying the adhesive, the surface should be wetted with water, and then any surplus water should be removed. To prevent the adhesive from prematurely drying up and falling off, the region in question must be shaded from the sunshine. To ensure that the material comes into adequate contact with the surface that is going to be coated, the adhesive has to be applied with the flat side of the trowel employing a scraping motion. After that, some additional mortar is placed using the notched edge of the trowel.

- The tile should be entirely bedded in the mortar or adhesive with 100 percent coverage, which is a very important precaution to remember. To remove all grime from the back of tiles (especially porcelain tiles), a moist sponge should be used. Do not saturate in water. While the adhesive is still safe, any moist cleaning material or sponge should be used to remove any excess adhesive from the stone's surface.
- In the process of installing big tiles, adhesive should also be put over the reverse of the tile before the material is trowelled over the surface that will be tiled. Choose the appropriate variety of notched trowel: For thin tiles up to a size of 300 millimeters by 300 millimeters (1 inch by 1 inch), use a square-notched trowel with dimensions of 6 millimeters by 6 millimeters to achieve a total thickness of 3 millimeters. For Large Porcelain Tiles up to 450 x 450 mm with Ribs, Use a Square Notched Trowel of Size 6mm X 6mm, and Back Butter the Tiles with the Same Adhesive to a Thickness of 1-1.5 mm to Provide a Total Thickness of 4.5 mm. For Large Porcelain Tiles up to 600 x 600 mm (2' x 2') with Ribs, Use a Square Notched Trowel of Size 6mm X 9mm, and Back Butter the Tiles with the Same Adhesive to a Thickness of 1-1.5 mm to Provide a Total Thickness of 6mm.
