Superb Cement Grout
Platinum Tile Grout – Cement Based is the best grout for tile joints. This single-component polymer modified grout is ideal for tile installations with tile joints up to 5 mm wide. The grout’s unique recipe blends cement and polymer additives for high-quality performance.
Platinum Tile Grout is known for its fast-setting ability, making tiling projects faster. Fast-setting grout saves time and decreases the possibility of damage or displacement before it sets. It is suited for time-sensitive residential and commercial applications.
Platinum Tile Grout also has low shrinkage, which helps tiled surfaces last. Low shrinkage grout keeps grout lines steady while cure. This prevents gaps and cracks from appearing in the finish. The grout’s minimal shrinkage helps seal the seam and prevent moisture concerns.
Application Procedure:
- Before grouting, ensure that the tiles are securely set and that the adhesive is cured.
- Tile joints must be clean and free of grease or other foreign materials, and approximately two-thirds of the depth of the tiles must be available for grouting.
- Mix 1 kg tile grout with 300-350 ml of potable water until it is lump-free.
- Wet the surface. Spread the grout with a rubber grout float, making sure there are no air spaces in the joint.
- After mixing, apply the substance within 30 minutes.
- Remove extra grout without disrupting the applied material's compactness.
- Allow for 2-3 hours of hardening time before removing extra material with a damp (but not wet) sponge.
- Allow 24 hours for the joint to heal before submitting it to normal service conditions. Protect exterior joints from direct sunlight/rain for at least 24 hours.
