Surface Preparation: The stone’s surface must be clean and undamaged from spills of any kind, including dust, oil, grease, curing agents, etc. Stone should be at least wiped down with a towel before the coat is applied to prevent the coat from turning black owing to impurities on the stone’s surface.
Application Process :
- Stonecoat should be applied uniformly over the stone surface until the stone seems damp.
- To prevent unevenness at the latter stages, it is preferable to apply the material in a series of tiny to medium-sized patches rather than all at once over the length or width. A patch size of between 25 and 50 square feet is suggested.
- After 3-7 hours of treatment, it can be accessed by humans without disrupting the drying process, ensuring good strength for a lifetime.
- To get the most durability out of your paint job, you need to apply two coats, with at least a three-hour drying time in between. Depending on the stone type, a higher number of coats may be suggested.

By allowing the vapor to escape and the initial coat to settle, Superb Stonecoat is able to penetrate the stone from its exposed surfaces and produce an undetectable negligibly thin film. The stonecoat softens the stone’s exterior by penetrating its pores; this doesn’t change the stone’s naturally rough texture, but it does make the stones easier to handle.
Applying the stonecoat to a smaller section of the stone on-site will give you a better concept of the final result, and you can then move forward to get the full beauty of the stone.
